Courage writing snapshot

 In class, I have been reading about Jesus Christ's life and looking for acts of courage. I then had thirty minutes to write about it. 

My quote says success is never final, failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts.

In Deuteronomy verse 31:6 is to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you.  

Secondly, Jesus died on the cross for our sins and he had the courage and bravery to do it in front of his disciples. One day when there was a crazy storm in the open sea. Jesuses disciples were so scared. But when Jesus arrived at the boat, he storm the storm with his hand.  

Thirdly, Jesus died on the cross because he can take all of the sins away in his own hands because Jesus is courageous and he won't leave you. That's why Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins and he took all the sins on the cross. 

To sum up, Jesuses life is a good example for all of us because he is so courageous.

In class, we are learning about courage. we had to choose a quote that we like and create a motivational poster about it. I like this quote because courage can help in life and you'll never fail.

Basic facts reflection

This term I think I had done kind of good this term because I was on brick 15-16 and I moved up to brick 17.

Next term I plan to work on my 6 times tables and 7 times and 8 times and my 9 times tables and get faster at my time's tables. brick 17 is so hard that I can't pass it so I really need to work on my 6 and 7 times and stuff.

Basketball

Lately, we have been doing some persuasive writing in class and i wrote about basketball players and why we should play basketball.

Basketball 

Do you like basketball? I do like it because you can dunk on people and smack the ball out of their hands. But when you shoot the ball in the hoop it makes cool swish noises. Players from the NBA are so good and Steph Curry is so good because he can make heaps and heaps of three-pointer lines and Kobe and LeBron and them can dunk on people and stuff. I think basketball is one of the best games ever because you can be fit and healthy.

Imagine someone can dunk from the three-pointer line. That would be so insane if someone could do that. When someone's ankle breaks the defender and then they slip or drip or something. That would be so funny and when you dunk on someone and you shout like a lion or like hello beast. It feels so cool that you really want to do it again.  

I like smacking the ball out of their hands because when the shooter shoots and then you jump and smack the ball out of their hand. it's so fun and when someone tries to dunk and then you run behind them and then you jump and hit the ball it's so fun when you do that to the player who has the ball.  

When you shoot the ball in the hoop and you make this cool as smooth swish in the hoop it makes this cool as sound and when you throw the ball where the hoop and your teammate jumps up and dunks it in the hoop and that called an alley hoop and its so cool to watch how they jump and dunks it in the hoop.  

Summary 

Basketball is fun because you can dunk on people and swat people and it's good for your health and fitness. That's why I think everyone should play basketball.  

Amazing holiday

In class we have been doing some writting what we did in the holidays and it was so fun what i did

The holiday 

 Firstly, during the holidays I and the family went to the beach for the day and we had a massive feed. Next, we went to my uncle's house for the night and we boiled up and burgers for dinner. The next day we went to Dargaville to see my nan and them because it was my nan's birthday and we had the mean feed and then my dad said ¨that hit the spot¨. We started to laugh at him because his stomach was rumbling when we were traveling to Dargaville. 

Going back to Kaikohe 

We started traveling back to Kaikohe and then my brother shouted, ¨there's a  broken car on the side of the road¨. And I explained “ look at the broken window” But we kept on going and we stopped to get takeaways and after when we finished it we went to go see my cousins if they were at their house and they weren't there so we kept on going to Kaikohe and we finally arrived in Kaikohe and we had some Maccas and we got there around 8:00. 

Going to Khodys house

Around 10 o’clock Khody came over to my house to pick me up so we went to Khodys street to do some wheelies and stuff and when his family left to Moerewa. We went to go and jam some games on his ps4 and it got boring so Khody messaged his mate to come up on his street and we did some wheelies. 

Playing basketball and wheelies

Me and Khody,Kayden were doing some wheelies at my house down a  little hill on my driveway and we were just doing some wheelies down and Kayden remarked ¨should I go straight down for a  scrapy¨. And then we all said ¨ Ok¨ and Kayden did and then he slipped and we started to laugh. So we went to go and play some basketball and we had some 1v1s and Kayden was just beating us when Kayden shot the ball, the ball flew into the hoop. 

Reflection

It was fun as on the holidays and stuff and I loved having a massive feed with the family and hanging out with the bros and having a  good holiday with my mum and dad and them and I had a fun experience with my family and cousins and my aunties and uncles.
