learning about fantastic kiwis

My Experience

After dinner on the beach, as the moon came out from behind the hills we had karakia.

after dinner, everybody went with their groups and all of us didn't see the kiwi intill we started walking

around up the hill. We had red cellophane on our torches.

Me Komene and the boys saw the kiwi but the kiwi was staunch and ran under the fence but luckily

Komene took photos.

Kupe

Guided writing

orientation

One day in Te Moana a Nui a Kiwa on the island of Hawaiki there lived a man called Kupe. The island was small and the village was cramped. .lush tropical trees covered the island. standing on the golden stand, with his Taiaha firmly in his hands, Kupe surveyed the empty ocean. The ocean karangatia to kupe.

Problem

¨this island is too cramped, there isn't enough space for us¨kupe said to Ngahue. ¨Ae! Te Wheke is eating all the kai¨declared Ngahue. te Wheke was an octopus that lived in the blue ocean and his arms were so grippy and Te Wheke's skin was slimy.  And kupe and hine-te-Aparangatia set sail to hunt for the wheke!

Climax

For weeks the warriors pursued Te Wheke. The chase was hard. the rain pelleted down and the wind rocked the Matawhaorua back and forth like a swing. And te Wheke started to throw all of the seafood back in the water. Then the warriors started to get angry and hungry. The warriors felt like killing the wheke because of what he did.

Solution

Finally, Kupe came out with a solution.¨lets  trap that checky wheke in the cave¨ later that evening Kupe threw the calabashes in the water to distract the wheke. Te wheke grabbed the calabash and Kupe stabbed the wheke. The wheke roared ¨nooo.¨  Kupe smiled to Te wheke.
